Panama - Plum · Stone Fruit · Vanilla
Kotowa is located in El Salto, on the western side of Boquete, Panama. Coffee has been cultivated by the Kotowa family for four generations, surrounded by mountains, forest and the volcanic landscape of Chiriquí.
At an elevation of approximately 1,650 metres, cool temperatures encourage the coffee cherries to ripen gradually. This lot consists entirely of Pacamara, a rare cross between Pacas and Maragogipe, recognised for its unusually large beans and expressive character.
After harvesting, the cherries are naturally processed and slowly dried to build sweetness and depth. The cup is layered and fruit-forward, with notes of ripe plum, strawberry and stone fruit, followed by delicate florals, a tea-like character and soft hints of chocolate and vanilla.
