Kiamutuira lies in Kirinyaga, close to the slopes of Mount Kenya. Since opening in 1996, the washing station has processed coffee for hundreds of small-scale producers within the Mutira Farmers Cooperative Society.

Coffee is cultivated here in volcanic loam soils and a mild mountain climate, with approximately 1,500 millimetres of rainfall each year. These conditions allow the cherries to mature gradually, building sweetness and complexity.

This lot brings together SL28, SL34 and Batian, three varieties closely associated with Kenyan coffee. Macadamia trees provide natural shade and contribute to a healthy growing environment. In the cup, expect floral aromas, bright lemon and juicy peach, supported by a balanced medium acidity.
